It is important for the general public to understand how to reduce the chances of getting a stroke. The most way to prevent stroke is to eat healthy. Choosing meals that are healthy could be the most important part of avoiding a stroke. Healthy diets include eating fresh fruits and vegetable in abundance. Stay away from foods that are high in sodium, which also lowers your blood pressure. Consume foods with a low saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol. CDC made a list of healthy lifestyles:

Healthy Weight:
Being overweight dramatically increases your chances of getting stroke. It is very important to have a healthy BMI ( Body mass index)
Physical Activity:
It is very important to keep a physical routine throughout your lifespan in order to stay healthy. According to the CDC, “the Surgeon General recommends 2 hours and 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or bicycling, every week. Children and adolescents should get 1 hour of physical activity every day”.

No Smoking:
Smoking dramatically increases your chances of both hypertension, diabetes, and most of all stroke. It is important not to start smoking if you don’t smoke already.
